Oops

Took my two young boys out to South Dakota to look for Dinosaur bones for a week.(youngest wants to be a paleontologist) Forgot the tent poles.Oops:o No matter I had a canvas ground cloth that I made into a tent and use thier walking sticks for poles. Once all set up I told the boys to get there blankets out, "we did". They only brought one:eek: and said they thought they'd be sleeping in the same one. Gave up two of my three. It' was a chilly week, but we had a blast, and yes, we got on a T rex dig whith some Pros.:D

kinda a forgot ...

just got back from a 6000km round trip to Cooktown and the Diantree national park with a bunch of foster kids

we bought a bit over $100 of souvineers for the kids , each of them had to have soemthing , and then something to give their parents next access vist and something for their siblings ....

the whole lot was just gone when we got home tho , best theory we can come up with is the bag of gear got mistaken for rubbish and chucked out at one of our stops near a bin when we cleaned out the car ....

the plus side is , we did collect a lot of coconuts , so instead of stickers and mugs and tshirts , the kids are taking green coconuts to their parents and siblings :)

almost as good , and at least they are not made in china
