Opinel Collection GAW ENDED EARLY WINNER ANNOUNCED

I'm in, here's my # 8 given to me back in the mid 80s as a gift for bein' an usher at a neighbors wedding, I was told not to play with it till after the wedding as it was sharp and they didn't want me to get my metallic blue tux (remember it was the 80s) bloody. Well I did and I cut my finger, I didn't get the tux bloody but there's pictures with me and my hand wrapped in a dinner napkin during the reception.. ;)

Here it is during an experiment with forced stenciled patinas.

I'm in! Very generous of you, I've been wanting one of those Opinel sets for a while. I love Opis and would like to get my hands on all sizes... For me, my favorite knife is probably my Case Sodbuster - my 5 year old "gave" it to me for Christmas (she said she wanted to "find or make" me a knife for Christmas, so I gave it to my wife for my daughter to "find") and she positively glows whenever she sees me using it. It makes me happy every time :love_heart:

I'm in. This is truely a great give away. This Camillus gets used when I am doing yard work.

I'm in. Here is my first knife. An Ulster BSA knife I carried for twenty years. Springs are to worn to carry any more.

Today this is my favorite because it changes daily. #15 Boys knife in elephant bark with 440C steel.

Not an entry ~~ but that is a very nice set of good looking Knives & it will make somebody's day for sure.!
I liked my set so much that I bought my Sister & Mother both a set and they have both worn them out.!
One of my Aunts got my Mothers when she passed & she thought they were ugly & wore out until she cut her finger with one.!
Now she uses them all the time.!*** Go figure.! lol

Wow, thanks for the opportunity, I am in.

My favorite cutter, with some character.

Wow, very generous. I'm in. Would be a wonderful birthday present to me. [emoji2]

Lately my favorite has been my newest, the little Beagle. I think the stag looks classy on it. But really like those in Micarta also. I like it because it's small, but a very useful blade configuration.

I think the next model that gets pocketed very often is my Michigan Jack. So thin and light. Great knife.

Really hard to pick a favorite but this is one of them. The soup bone is the best worry stone. Thank you, I'm in!

I'm in, if a kind soul would post a picture of a Queen bird's eye cattleman hoof knife(the one with a hoof pick and a leather punch), otherwise thanks anyways🙂 And good luck to all.
Thanks, Neal

I don't own many traditional knives, but I suppose this one counts and I use it all the time in my garden. One of the sharpest little edges I've got!

Thank you for the generous opportunity, I'm in!

Man some really fine knives posted here.

T. Erdelyi How do you like that Russlock I have been looking at them a lot and have even had them in my cart a few times would really like to hear your take on them since yours are users.

I'm in! Even though I just received a lovely camp knife from you, it would be great to win this GAW! I'll turn 44 on July 24th, so there's a slight chance that my birthday will be even more festive now!

Well, I'm rather new to knife collecting. I've only been acquiring and drooling over knives for just over a year now. I don't own many fancy or pricey blades, but I do like most of the knives I have. I've been trying to acquire the basics thus far. And since I'm a newb, it's difficult for me to choose just one favorite. I always have 4 or 5 knives on me because I just can't decide what to carry! I like SAK/camp knives due to their versatility and multiple functions, and I also just really love Case cv knives. I'm a bit partial to peanuts, trappers, and yellow delrin.

I'm in.
I have struggled with the question of which is my "favorite", but this has to be in the running as my sentimental favorite fixed blade; 1926 Kinfolks K380 which my dad bought for himself on his 18th birthday in Aug 1926. His mother wouldn't let him have a knife until he was 18, so the first thing he did was to go out and buy this knife, (or so goes the story he told me when he gave me the knife when I turned 18). I have retired the original sheath to preserve it, and made the sheath myself that I carry it in these days. Though I don't carry it often it is my favorite nonetheless. My grandson will get this on his 18th birthday in 2030, hopefully I'll still be around to give it to him personally.

BTW: Is this a one post, one entry contest? I also have a favorite folder if fixed blades don't count.
