Well, I've been on here for a while and have won one giveaway. Time for me to do one, I think.

I just purchased two Opinel #8's in stainless. I've modded the locking rings to turn a little further on both open and close and the pivots are soaking in mineral oil.

The best protection from swelling is to soak the whole knife in mineral oil but this would be best done after modding and I wanted to leave the knives open for that.

I also have two #6's which I overmodded some years ago. Would there be any interest in them?

In any event, I'll let this run till Thanksgiving then figure out a way to pick a random post number.

Just say "I'm in". (although Opinel mod pics are always nice)

thanks for the GAW. I'm in for a 6 if its carbon. here's a 12 and a 2 both modded.

I'm in! I totally wore mine out and sold it for $5? A great work knife for a carpenter, modified for easy one-hand open.
