Opinel giveaway *Winners Announced*

Not an entry just wanted to vouch for the opinel. Just picked up a #9 and couldnt be happier. Great in the kitchen and outdoors, plus the patina effect on the carbon blade gives the knife a bit of character! Good Luck!
 
Well, this has run its course I think so I'm going to jump the gun by a few hours and announce the winners.

When I began this I spoke of a couple #6's which I had "overmodded". By that I meant that I had continued to mess with them past the point at which I should have left well enough alone. :rolleyes: I just sent them to the first people who asked about a #6. (I kept them in the running also)

I got thinking that folks thought I was giving away 4 knives so I bought two more #8's. The only thing I have done to them is soak the joints in mineral oil.

go to your first post, click edit , then click "go advanced", then scroll up to the title box and change it :)
then click "save changes"

Aye, I know that... But I have no clue where I'll find, say, a blade shop in a hum-drum day-to-day city in the middle of, say, Belgium. I know I'll be in Solingen at some point,
I'm definitely picking up something there... But even then, have no clue where the shops are, even with research. Ah well. If you think of something, please let me know.
 
Go to any hardware shop. Opinels are stocked eveywhere, even here in the UK.
 
I just got back from posting those knives.

I got the addresses quickly and that was great.

Will anyone I sent a knife to please drop me an e-mail when you get it so I know that is done.

Got mine today!!! Its my first opinel and I am impressed! Sharp and so light! Its on pocket duty tomorrow! Thanks again!
