I didn't know Opinel had such a following before joining the forum. I've been wanting to get one for myself, but maybe I'll win one!:D
 
Not an entry, I already have a #8, they are great EDC knives, I got my first one nearly 30 years ago as a groomsmen gift for being in a friend's wedding.

He gave it to me before the wedding and as we were going to the reception he caught me in the bar and started to tell me to be careful because the thin blade was razor sharp and as the sites came outta his mouth, he noticed the bloody bar rag wrapped around my hand and said, "...never mind, I see you already found out...".

I've been meaning to pick up an opinel for a good while now... Winning one would be just fine with me, I'm in. Thanks for the opportunity.
 
Not an entry but good on you for running the give away.

For those who love carbon, you owe it to your self to try Opinels Inox. It's wonderful stuff and has made me a covert.

First of all: I'm in, if this is still underway.

Secondly: Hey, new to the forums! Been considering joining for quite some time, been lurking for ages. Because I'm a greedy person, I just did ;P. I've started my knife 'collection' (Currently just 2 Vics and a buck 112) recently. Well, I've had them for some time now, but it's officially become a collection recently. Going to Europe again soon, and I'll be picking up several small blades. 'Been eyeing opinels for quite some time. Traditional knives, particularly single-blade folders from Europe, are probably my favourite, especially if they have some unique features. And seeing as how this post is already 4 times larger than everyone elses, I'll stop now. If anyone could show me the ropes, please message me, as I have a few questions. Dankeschön. Oh, and thank you very much for the opportunity.

EDIT: P.S. Whilst I'd much prefer the Opinel #8, I'd give one of the Opinel #6's a home. If it's a tad small for me, I'd give it to my little brother. He'd definitely love one.

Im in please. I have never had an opinel. I've been wanting to get one and drop the spine and thin the handles at the butt.
