I know i'm going to take flak for this, but....these are my favorites and they produce knives in many price ranges for all uses (My favorite EDC's are made by these companies)

Spyderco, Kershaw, and ? Do not like Gerber and am not crazy about Cold Steel. I also have some Sanrenmu and they are actually not bad (most are a little small, but quality is excellent for price) want to get a Benchmade, but too many Spydercos to get first.
