I have owned a Flash II and a Trident in the past and both were relatively flimsy compared to other major brands IMO. Both developed blade play and I got rid of them. I do, however, like the Vulcan and still have and use it.
Yeah, Leatherman has begun to couch on their laurels in recent years.... I haven't been pleased with them since I had to send a tool back and they returned the wrong tool to me. Extremely drawn out process that left me entirely crestfallen with the company. Sad.
so true , i had trouble with one of the flat-head screwdrivers , wrote and asked for a the part - they DO NOT send parts ! so had to wait months , to get my multi - tool back ,
Kershaw on the other hand - if you want to service your knife ( clip / pivot screw / spring ) - all is sent by mail - no problems and fast
The Vulcan and Mini-Vulcans are good knives. I like the Twitch II and XL also. I recently gave away my Twitch II to a granddaughter to carry at college. It seemed to fit her nicely. I know the Tom Cat is a good knive also, but I never bought one.
