Hey all! I'm fairly new to knife making and have been having fun with this craft. I was wondering if I'm on the right track with my skill. I love the way this one turned out but I'm wanting others opinions on it! I know there's a lot of knife lovers here obviously and I'd like to hear your thoughts. Keep in mind this is only the 7th knife I've made.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that. It's O1 steel with stabilized pine cone in black and white resin. Used copper corby screws for the scales. I also etched it with ferric chloride.

Thanks joe! I'm partial to it but that may just be my blood sweat and tears talking. Haha

Understandable!!!! But I'm not and that's a really cool piece my friend!!

Joe's right, it looks great sir.

One could criticise the random nature of the file work on the spine maybe, but I rather like it. Elegantly apocalyptic.

Nice work dude! Great idea for a handle material, really like the copper screws too! I look forward to seeing number 8!

Thanks everyone! I appreciate the kind words for sure! It's 3/16 thick full flat grind so the bevels ran deep. The file work was a trial, I started out close then ran further a with each one to see how it would look.

Yeah, definitely not for everyone that's for sure but I like to experiment and learn skills as time goes on.

Thank you sir! I can't wait to see #20 provided I progress and don't repeat mistakes too often.
