These two were an almost daily work-carry pair for the better part of a year after I picked up the CRK and still ride together frequently to the job site. Sebenza, of course, means "work" and the Tenacious just keeps on doing that as its name applies. The Spydie was my gateway knife into this whole knife knut mess and my solo work carry before taking the plunge and adding the CRK.
Opposite in price and greatly different in materials and production hours, these knives are both quality pieces with excellent F&F. I'm just amazed at how well-made the Tenacious is and have a real soft spot for the model. You get a whole lotta knife for 35 to 45 bucks, which may explain why I have 5 in various finishes so far and will continue to collect them. I could buy a baker's dozen Tenasci for the price of my KnifeArt large 21, though I got mine for well below new pricing on the Exchange, but that hasn't stopped me from accumulating CRKs either--there's that knife knut mess again.
Both knives are well-worn and marked, though the beater work goes to Tenacious--scraping, pulling staples, light prying--and the Sebenza takes care of finer cutting, shaving, slicing, paring, and the all-important pencil sharpening. There's no question that the CRK is in a whole different class than the ValueLine Spydie, but that doesn't make the "lesser" knife any less an essential part of my kit.
