I am dedicating this thread to my favourite blade shape;

Wharncliff's/Sheepsfoot/Hawkbill's and ALL the modified versions.

I hope that this will grow into some fun and educational discussion about these great blades, filled with tons of pictures. I want to see what's out there, and I love the creativity that makers put into messing with this design!

Personally, my first experience with a Wharncliff/Hawkbill started with this custom from Coty Handley:

And while I no longer own this knife (big mistake) my love for these blades never stopped.
To keep this simple, I find that for everday EDC, nothing beats the versatility of these blades...

Agreed, there are details that continue to emerge has I enjoy it. It really is functional art, and has capabilities that go beyond what I expect out of a folder.

The Insingo is gonna be a regular in this thread!

It's hard to say this, but I personally think that it's as close to perfect as an EDC knife can get for me PERSONALLY!

Particularly in the Small for me for some reason. That Olamic... I've never touched one, yet my hand loves it already. It is beautiful.
 
I can't let this thread die, I even changed the title....

I wanna see all the Wharncliff's ~ Sheepsfoot's ~ Hawkbills and anything that is as modified version..

There must be more of us who love these blades???!
 
Great thread and pics. I will have to do a photo shoot. Big Chris customized wolverine, another Folts (SPEW and more minimalists), Spyderco/Janich Yojimbo, Spyderco Enuff, Guardian Tactical, I'm sure I have others ... Bradford G3 wharny
