That Childress is exceptional! I need to pay more attention to his work on the exchange....

I need to know more about that knife!

It was made for me by a fellow Forum member, Defaultuser. 3" CPM154 steel blade, natural linen micarta scales, titanium pocket clip, and a built in caplifter in the tang. Sweet folder!

Here is an interesting modified wharncliffe from Spyderco's ethnic series... the Spyderco Chokwe. Straight edge like a wharnie until the very slight and short-run sweep near the tip. Beautiful slicer!

U.S. Schrade 77OT, Muskrat pattern. One blade tip broken off, one bent. I turned both into semi-Wharncliffe types.

Each of these has one, two, or all three blades modified:

Sometimes, it feels like no one else likes hawkbills.

Also, some sheepsfoots and a wharncliffe thrown in for good measure.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who loves wharnecliffs and sheepsfoots (feet?) Sadly, I don't have any way to post mine.

I hope this thread stays alive, they are great blades!

Just find an image hosing site like Imgur and the cut and paste the URL of your image....
Make sure you put a
at the end of the link.

Here's a sheepsfoot/wharncliffe blade I am almost finished making. I still need to clean up the edges of the tang, and may reshape the ricasso a little, but it's close. It's CPM 20CV at 62Hrc, ironwood handles with carbon fiber tubes. I had the handle materials sitting the shop so I just slapped them on there not knowing how it would come out. I think I like it.
