Orange G10 Millie vs Phoenix

Which knife would you take if both cost the same..?

Ok..for the sake of this poll/question - lets say both knives cost EXACTLY the same, so price is not an issue. On one side there is the G10 Military:

On the other hand there is the Phoenix:

Which one are you keeping/taking and why - and keeping both is not an option.

I am asking this cause I am thinking of sacrificing my Millie to get the Phoenix...but I was curious what others on here would do in the same scenario.
 
As much as I like the Phoenix and will have one soon (Jill's pictures are killing me!) The Military is one of the best production folders in history. Period. End of story.
 
there are few spydercos that can compete with the military series for an all around knife.

i think it is just about the whole package:

-slim and light
-good handle to blade ratio
-great usable blade shape
-great ergos
-solid lock
-versitile handle

the only change i would make to the current model is a 4 position clip.
 
While both are great knives, there is a few things I just dont like about the phoenix.
The orange Mili. is defo the one I would go for, no two way about it.
 
The Phoenix should be around longer than the Orange Military.
So, just save the money and keep the OM, get the Phoenix when you can. Far as I know the Phoenix is still being produced and I've seen no shortage of them.
 
The Phoenix is nice, but I like a nice fine point when possible, and I think the ivory micarta kind washes the color out of the knife. White on titanium on steel is just kind of...monochromatic for me.
 
The Orange Millie is so nice, I want to get a second one for just in case I loose the first one, so the answer is the Millie!

hahahah they are killing me as well - hence the reason for this post! :)
 
I just never cared for the mili, so it's not a tough choice for me to make.
 
Th Millie is my all-time favourite big folder, however, in orange I would never buy it... So Phoenix.

A little on the big side for me, like the Police... To which I sold my Police earlier this year. I do agree with another poster that it is good to have a pointed blade though however.
 
I have both. Got the orange Millie because it probably won't be available in the near future, where as Jill said, the Phoenix should still be obtainable. Both are fantastic. Two different knives. Keeping both, even though it is not an option for you.

I'd second Jill's advice... keep the orange Millie and save up for the Phoenix.
 
Another Millie-phile. Orange, black, or camo, its probably the best big folder I have ever held. :thumbup:
 
I don't have either, yet, but Id go with the OM, Its just a little harder to easily get should of.
