Was looking at some samples of Groove's done up in orange G-10, and wanted your thoughts, so let's hear them.

To add, this is not a variation that we have decided on, I just want honest evaluations of what you all think of the look. You're not going hurt any feelings here.

I like the looks of both, Thomas, although the regular Groove does appeal to me more than the tanto.
How long until they would be available for sale if you decide to go through with it? I have no idea how long it takes to order/cut/colour G-10. I would definitely want at least one, perhaps both.
Has there ever been a consideration to do the Tanto Groove uncoated, either with the regular black or this new orange G-10?

Rik

I like the coated with orange G-10. I even like it with the tanto blade. The uncoated with orange, just doen't look right, but then again it might just be me.

I love orange G10. I have been thinking of getting a Tanto Groove but if the Orange and Black is a possibility I will just hold off until then. This kind of makes me wonder how many super nice looking variants of knives we all know and love are floating around at Kershaw.

I guess in summary put me down for 2 Orange G10 Tanto Grooves.

Please no.
Not orange. I think I'd rather carry yellow than orange and I hate yellow.

Now if you added GREEN...whole different ballgame.

I think the Orange Tanto Groove would appeal to those in the outdoor adventure type market, as orange makes the knife visible and the black coating prevents rust.
A full serrated wharncliff rescue version might be a good idea.
(and pointy plain edge wharncliff as well, I like that style of blade.)

As for the regular Groove, I think the orange G-10 would go better on the rainbow model. For that matter the Rainbow Groove could stand to have some multi colour scales, maybe orange/blue or red/black G-10.

I think it's great that you're asking... thank you. And it's funny, I was just asking myself the other day if you guys had ever done an ERT type folder. If I had to choose, I would go with the black version. Orange is not my favorite color, however, since I grew up with that hair color

I keep wanting to make the handles orange G10, with black g10 onlays.... and the black tanto blade. so, that would be all g10 with a steel liner lock instead of the frame lock. I know that complicates things.

I don't like the black and orange at all. I like the uncoated with orange much more.

The black and orange makes me think HALLOWEEN the other makes me think SAFETY. I like the uncoated.

The orange G-10 looks ok with the black blade/black handle, but retain the original "wavy" design for the scales.

As an outdoorsman, I like orange G10 on knives to maximize visibility. If you drop your knife in a pile of dirt/leaves/branches, the easier it is to find, the better.

I'm not digging it on the Groove, though. I got the plain versions for Christmas, and love pretty much everything about it - including what I consider to be the classy look of the black G10 with the stainless steel. I don't consider it to be a wilderness type of knife though, so no need for the bright orange.

I still like the idea of of doing an interchangeable Groove - different G10 colors and/or blade shapes/steels, but not in orange.

I like the orange/black better but I would prefer different colors...blue/green/purple.
Also I prefer the wave design shown on the drop point.
