Orange Handled Knives

I like orange, it's easy to find when dropped in a layer of fall leaves.

What Ken said. I might use an orange knife at Halloween, but otherwise they are just 'flash' to me.

I have couple of Orange handed knives, for both of them orange was deal-breaker, but I wouldn't buy a knife just because it has orange handle and I wouldn't want all my knives to be orange. In my opinion on some knives Orange is great, on some of them so so, like almost any color.

I love bright colored handles. One of my favorite outdoor knives is my yellow mini ritter grip. I go fishing with it a lot. If I ever dropped it I would be able to find it pretty easily, even if i had to go swimming to get it. Can't say the same for several "tactical colored" knives that I have lost.

Also have a bright red busse. Can't be losing that either.

Unless I'm rowing a pirogue down the bayou in cajunland or stomping through the jungles of Peru, I can't myself see ever having an orange handled knife.

I voted yes even though I don't currently own any. As a compromise when i'm hunting I tie orange engineer's tape thru the lanyard hole. That trick has helped locate misplace knives in the field more than once.

I've got 4. Started with a Schrade years ago. The Tyrade, OD-1 and Millie are all within the last year.

The Tyrade is my favorite.

I used to be in the "tacticool" crowd, with black everything. I've got several Victornoxs somewhere in the front pasture. Open a bag of feed, set the knife on the side of the truck, turn around and "Damn! Where'd it go?" The last one was definitely open, now I keep expecting to find it in my tire.

High visibility yellow and orange are now my favorites.

Considering 25% of my small collection it orange handled knives, yes, I love them.
It helps inspire a "hunting knife" look to people and is a lot more friendly in public than a blacked out folder.
I drop my knives about once every month or two but I can imagine that the orange would be easier to see but I've yet to struggle finding a dropped a knife but it only takes once and if it does I hope I'm carrying an orange folder.
It's one of those "like it or hate it" cases and I love it.
