- thank you, sir.! Sadly, my boy has left us, he got to 16yrs, which is pretty good for an Abyssinian pedigree - they are like family. Greatly missed.
Oh man, loved the picture of your boy. Sorry for your loss. We had a rough patch several years ago when all of the three cats that we had accumulated in college passed away one year after the other.

I don't have too many orange. Have a few that have some orange mixed into the handle colors.

ESEE 3 and 4, uncoated 1095, cold blue treatment, orange aftermarket handles. Lighting angle makes the bluing look more light gray than it is IRL.

Case Peanut and Tribal Lock in orange synthetic.

And the two with orange. Pocket Hunter in the Autumn Bone shows the orange better. And the Tribal Lock Barehead Pocket Worn Whiskey Bone. Unlike most of the others I've been seeing, mine has more red to the dye mix than orange, but it's still there. Can be removed if not orange enough.

I did the aftermarket orange scales for my izula2. I just never knew if esees (or Beckers ) were welcome in the traditional forums

Oh and I really like that orange tribal lock too

I've seen them posted, although now that I think about it, it might have been the modern and traditional thread. I know there is an Izula in the thread. If they don't fit I'll be happy to remove them and not post them in Trads again.

Thanks, and I like it too. I think it's one of their best TLs they've produced, but I might be a little biased.

IMHO (not that my IMHO is worth a 1/264 pinch of salt) they fit in traditionals. Grandpa/Great Grandpa/Great-Great Grandpa would recognize them, and probably not find anything "unusual" about them ... other than mebby the scale material, but synthetics have been used for knife handles longer than stainless steel has been used for blades, so that shouldn't be an issue....
The grip/integrated guard handle and drop point blade date back to at least the fur trade era. I remember seeing photos of Hudson Bay knives used by "Mountain Men" that are the same basic design ... just larger.
