Karelian birch

While I ended up returning it, I bought a beautiful Karelian shaving brush from Muhle last year. They also make a razor with a Karelian handle. Returned because the ergonomics didn't work for me as a shaving brush but it was gorgeous.

This was not a playground and there were no other parents! Not that I can claim to have never taken a knife picture at a playground; that would be a fib. But I do at least look around first and make sure no one’s staring at me!

Am I wrong to think that blaze-orange knives are a relatively new phenomenon? Like, that they’ve become really popular in the last year or two?

When I first started seeing them, I thought it would be a short-lived fad for sure. It’s now clear that I woefully misjudged the market. Orange knives seem to be here to stay.

I guess I understand the appeal to hunters, but I don’t get why anyone else would want one.

Am I completely alone on this? Anyone else a little baffled by the popularity
