I haven't heard anything about this in a long time, does anybody know if it is still in the works?

I'm not all that too familiar with the top super steels, but is there any reason one would pick a S90V blade over a S110V?

I just got my very first LW manix over a week ago, the S110V dark Blue. I took for 3 days camping trip and I am well amazed! I sure didn't chop down a tree and I did use it diligently, but to me surprise, the edge truly shows no wear at all, it kept every bit of its super keen shaving sharp edge. I think I'm impressed :)

Always wanted to scoop up a Manix and I'm 100% sure this will be the one I purchase. I like the S90V on my Benchmade 490 Amicus, so I'm really excited for this. Orange handles are just icing on the cake.

Interesting, I wonder if H1 could be in the works? I know it's a Japanese steel but there have been several Golden made knives (which the Manix is) that use H1 recently (Autonomy etc).

There is one reason that trumps all others- if the knife is made in S90V and you want it, you buy it.

Truthfully there are very few people that could tell the difference in normal use. Spyderco has made various knife models in each steel, as well as CTS20CP, CTS204 and M390. All of them are good steels.

An H-1 Manix 2 lw would probably be my exclusive work knife for life. I am surprised it has not already been produced.

I held a Manix G10 for the first time the other day and really liked the way it felt. It was a tad heavy though. Haven't been a fan of the dark blue FRCP in the past, but that orange looks sweet! I might be down for one of these.

I don't doubt it. I think what we can better notice is really more the Rockwell hardness. Like Spyderco has a few good point of difference, say, between VG-10 and S110V. I feel that accounts more for the added performance of the steel, more so then the carbides perhaps?
