Orange Paramilitary

Got my CC charge email and shipping notification yesterday! I can't wait! I got a different debit card number a while back so I called and gave them the new one like a month ago so they had mine already.

Got an email last night from Jeff that I need to call them to give them my CC number again. First time that's happened with a preorder and my CC hasn't changed. Regardless, mine should be on the way today. Just need to wait until they open. WooHoo!

Just spoke with Amy and I'm good to go. Double WooHoo!

If anyone has got an extra of these coming and is going to flip one I would be willing to take one off from someone (at a profit to them of course)

Thanks guys

Paid for mine today too! The one on the Bay is going for $290 already and still 5 days left to go on the auction....

From what I read he's only getting in like 6-12 on the first shipment. So, you more than likely are going to have to be one of the FIRST who ordered to get yours in the first shipment. I also read that you have to give your payment info again because it was purged from the system. So, I'm sure if your getting one in the first shipment you've already heard from or will be hearing from CS very shortly as I think he plans to get orders out next week.

Yep.. This. I got the email this afternoon. They are asking me to call and give them CC info again because the system purged. Calling in just a bit. Should go well with my blue, brown, grey, cf black, g10 black collection. ;)

I'm looking forward to receiving mine but that is just nuts. I'd sell mine in a New York minute at that price.

Received my email at 1:00 this morning, haha. Got to call in with my credit card number and it will be all gravy after that! Can't wait!!

You know, since this is not a sprint run, but is a dealer exclusive, there is no reason there will not be another run of the orange Para 2. Considering how fast these sold out (12 days), and as the seller jacked up the price in the middle of the sale and they still sold out quickly, I bet there will be another run of these. The seller would be crazy not to do another run, when you factor 800 units at $50 margin per unit (wild guess, since the price went from $117 to $146 during the sale).

I vaguely recall a second run of the orange Military back in the day, though I'm not sure about that.

Just now getting into the Para-Military2's. Love all the Sprint runs, but hate that I've missed them all to date! I'm holding out a ZT0560 in hopes to trade it for a couple of the different Sprints! I've got to keep a close eye going forward to get in on these, it appears!

Everything is possible, but will be surprise if CS will do second run, even more surprise if it will be sold fast. To the best of my knowledge Cutlery Shoppe is is giving his customers bigger discount on Spyderco than any of dealers I know, so I doubt that his profit even close to $50 per Para. He raised prices giving more discount to the first customers, the same thing happened with orange Manix as well. About half of Orange paras were sold at $117 and average price, especially considering free shipping is less than green or brown paras.
BTW, second run of orange Milis was Spyderco deal, nothing to do with Cutlery Shoppe.

i need the brown and grey just holding off due to just bought the orange and the ZT 0560...........but eventually i want the grey and brown, have the green on preorder....do know of any other pm2 coming out on sprint runs?

I would almost guarantee Jeff isn't pocketing 40k on this run. Profit margins for online sales and especially his already great pricing is likely much slimmer.

Look what I found...

Thanks for the sucker Jeff!

First of all, I'm groovy with him making whatever he can make. But he was making money when he sold me one at $117. The price on the website (sold out) is now $146.25, or about $30 more than the margin was at $117.

So, unless he was selling them at a loss at $117 - which of course he was not - he's got a good margin on each knife. At least $40 - $50, unless I have my head up my rear end, which is quite possible. :) He's certainly entitled to make money on this thing, because he's putting up the capital and taking the risk. I commend him for that, as I do Brother Spark on the Skyline deal. But lets just be clear that these dealer exclusives are not done as merely a courtesy to the consumer. There's some serious coinage flying back and forth.
