Hey guys...I just want to tell you about why I love the knife community so much. The other day I posted in the general section about what are some of your favorite "Cheapie" knives. It was a great thread and lots of fun to read but like most threads it went away and I forgot about it...

Until Xmas eve day I walk out to the mail box and there is a box from someone I do not remember buying a knife from. Inside is a very nice letter from Chis ( Orca ) and two knives. One an Opinel #8 and another a K55 folder. Both of these knives are in great shape and Chris took the time to clean them up and tell me about the stories behind each knife. I gotta tell you that this kindness was very unexpected and truly touched me and I wanted all of you Goat herders, Pirates, and Bastids to know about this act of kindness because I think it exemplifies the type of great people we have on this Forum.

Chris again, thank you for the knives, they are going into the "never to be sold" portion of my collection which is a small elite group of knives. I am humbled and consider you a friend.

Thanks for all the kind words guys - it's much appreciated. I love this forum, and like any place where like-minded folks congregate, it's the "peoples" that make it fun. ("Peoples" - my son's word of the week.)

I've received several great knives from members here, and it's great to have the opportunity to give back a little too.
