Please read everything before you order!

Alright folks it's time to get this going. Here are complete instructions on how to order, so we can make sure everyone gets what they want, and so we don't make Ken's life more of a mess that we already are;) . Before we get there we need to be clear on a few points.

By ordering, and sending in your deposit you are committing to this project. I fully understand that "life" happens, but we can't have mass mutiny once it comes time to pony up the $$$. That will screw up the $$$ owed for Sparks knives, and for Ken's stamp. He is really taking on a project here and the last thing we all want to do is put him in a bad situation. So put your order in with a sense of commitment to your fellow forumites (is that a word:confused: ) and to this forum we all enjoy and have been fortunate enough to meet so many great people:)

Alright..... below you will find in "quotations" a complete list of instructions, options on the knife you want to order, and payment instructions along with deposit. You can either copy and past it to a word.doc (or whatever program you use) and email it in to ken, or print it out and throw it with your deposit in snail mail. Ken has posted his paypal address, mailing address, and everything else you need to order your knife, and get your deposit in on time. We have until the end of the month to put your deposit in so Ken can get working on them (about 2-4 months before they will be done). Remember Ken will be mailing them out all at one time. Not as they are finished.

Please CC me (my email is on instructions) so we have backup in case Ken's email blows a gasket;)

As far as serial #'s I don't think there is any way to be fair on that. As much as I appreciate being offer #1-2 I'm going to give that up to Sparks knives. We are using his logo, and his playground to get this done so I think he should have #1-2. I just don't see how to make it fair after that so serial #'s are first come, first serve.

Order for a BF W&S knife from Ironwolf

I would like (mark with an x or number if wanting more than one)

A) Flat ground, drop point knife complete $140ea ___
B) Flat ground, drop point blade only $70ea ___
C) Scandi grind, spear point knife complete $140ea ___
D) Scandi grind, spear point knife blade only $70ea ___
E) Finished knife with NO sheath flatgrind $125ea ___
F) Finished knife with NO sheath scandi grind $125ea ___
with these options (A, C, E, and F, only) mark with an x

Handle Material: Maple ___
Black canvas Micarta ___
Green canvas Micarta ___

Loveless rivets ___
Pins ___

feel free to clarify any answers, or use the space on the right to show which options are for which knife (if you are purchasing more than one)

Complete blades will come with choice of handle materials, pins or rivets, a thong hole, and a leather sheath. Blades will be stamped BF W&S 07 on one side, series number and my mark on the other. Bare blades will have the BF W&S mark on one side, two x's for the number on the other side, no maker's mark. Sheaths will also be stamped BF W&S 07

To reserve your knife please send $70 for each complete knife and/or $35 for each unfinished blade by June, 1st 2007

When the knives are complete you will be responsible for the remainder of the price, as well as a share of the money going to Sparks knife, the auction knife, and the BF stamp being made for this run. the more who buy a knife the lower this share will be($340 total)

Payments accepted include check, Money order, Paypal, and credit cards through paypal.

So he said he could do the extended plunge so will that be done on all scandi's or do I need to specify??

He knows, but I would put it on the "special instruction" to be safe. When I talked to Ken over the phone, he new exactly what I was talking about.
 
In regards to NWA knife- is there any collaboration with Ironwolf to use the same Bladeforums stamp on his knife? And how will the serial numbers work - will there be a #1 for each style (Scandi and flat ground) or will it be Ironwolf #1 and NWA #1, or will each blade be sequential from the get go so there is only one lineage? I know- I am nit picking but I have not seen these issues addressed and it seems like we are moving ahead without much discussion between the makers as many have expressed interest in all 3 designs.

The way Ironwolf is addressing it is as stated "first come first serve" besides #1 and #2 going to spark. I would say that NWA's knives should have their own serial #'s seeing as how it's a different knife, design, and maker.
 
Only got the bucks to buy one so I need to wait for the NWA knife before I can commit. What's the ETA?

ras, Nick is finishing up the knife and should have pics up next week. It will be a little larger than the Ironwolf knives, with 5" blade. When he posts pics, maybe there can be a seperate signup etc. with ordering instructions.

Good idea tknife. I will ask spark to replace the other sticky with Nicks order instructions. Tknife.... since you are in contact with Nick, do you mind handling that one?
 
No problem. Once pics are posted, we'll see who is interested and go from there.
