20 degree inclusive means 10 degrees on each side, if 20 degrees each side then it is 40 degree inclusive (this is most common because it is the best balance between sharp and edge longevity). I personally tend to sharpen my users to 30 degrees inclusive (hair splitting sharp with my new wicked edge but will have to be touched up more often).
Howdy guys what's up. Annoying day today, first day of classes, then work. First time I've been home since 7 30 this morning.
In better news, I'm winning the bid on a ti/zdp leek on the bay. Think I'm overpaying though.....
Not if it is worth it to you. I'll help the addiction.
That Nokia Lumia 920 takes some pretty nice pictures! A lot better than (there you go greeenie) some of the other phone pics I've seen.GLORIOUS DAY!

My first ZT! Oh Ken, how I love your designs.
Knotty when's your B-day?

Yep. My Kershaw I reprofile to 30* inclusive and then put a 40* inclusive micro bevel on. Overall though, if you can get your knife functionally sharp, I woudn't stress over super low angles and such. I do it more as an experimentation. Also if you don't have anything to do reprofiles with I wouldn't worry too much either.Ok, kershaws supposedly come 40 degrees inclusive as this is a great compromise as mentioned earlier. ZT knives supposedly come at 30 degrees inclusive but are usually a bit off, I say this because I just did 3 of them on my wicked edge and it took some time and reprofiling to do it. Zt lnives use tougher steels so they can hold a 30 degree edge longer than a kershaw with 8cr13mov or 14c28n. It depends on what you are using to sharpen but if it is something like a lanaky or sharpmaker id just stick to factory edge angles, reprofiling on those would take forever.
Thin is inI reprofiled my 0200 to about 30 degrees inclusive and its holding up so far. I used it the other day to cut up some thick boxes and packing straps and performs noticeably better than the original geometry.
My Gayle Bradley and M4 Military is as low as my WE allows, which is what I estimate to be around 26 inclusive (I go past the 15-degree detents), and they're also ok at that angle. The CPM-D2 on my JYD and Rake are a t around 36 and convexed. My 14c28n and S30V blades are at factory angles and I just strop them on paper wheels and most are convexed from doing that.
Thanks for your input. Re-profiling is a no-go for me. I've still got a lot to learn, and wouldn't feel comfortable doing something like that.Ok, kershaws supposedly come 40 degrees inclusive as this is a great compromise as mentioned earlier.
