Jeez, how can you people talk so much? I leave for the middle of the day and there's 5 new pages. I guess I'm not perfect as I tend to get quite mouthy.

I love hunting. Didn't get any Deer this year, but I'm going squirrel hunting this weekend. Maybe I can make some squirrel jerky. That can be something new to try.

Because I keep getting the picture in my head of Chester staring at Bob, I'm getting the idea that all Bob does all day is sit in his rocking chair, while flipping a knife open and saying "now that's a good", in a very creepy tone of voice.

Stick, I always wanted a smart New Yorker friend to counter balance me :D I do enjoy reading too, lately its been Westerns, or I go for the murder/mystery. No Shakespeare, I can't force myself to read that stuff. NY is too crowded, I have never enjoyed being around that many people, would make me insane. I now live in the city limits of Enumclaw, and its been kind of an adjustment. Ive had a firetruck in my drive way (8 ft tall pile of wood is too big I guess) and I've had to refrain from shooting my shotgun in my back yard :mad: If you are ever up this way I have a few guns you can shoot.
I dont want you all thinking Im some red-neck. I consider myself a refined hill billy :D While I do wear flannel and carhart and carry around an axe. I also go to Seattle for plays and wear nicer clothes and I have a suit.

I do not like fancynut, I notion that his name be Banned from use in this great thread!

Dbag, I dont hunt much really, been a long time. I like to fish, Salmon, and fly fish mostly. Crap, got to leave. see you all later.
 
I went deer hunting this past season and actually was out in the woods more than I ever have been in a good season. I hit one but it ended up on posted property, I followed it but with my gun over my shoulder. By the time it made it out the other side of the property I had lost the trail. I wasted 6 hrs. tracking it. I seen a few others and missed one nice buck running up the side of the mountain through a thicket too, damn thing never stopped though (no good shot). Atleast I got to take my gun and knives for a walk!
I am used to hunting with family and friends, and usually having snow. Being down south now it is a whole different ball game. I will be doing more scouting this year and putting up a ladder stand! It really sucks when you can't put on drives to get them moving on slow days and can't track them in the snow! Never did get out for muzzle loader this year either.

Oh well, I am excited for spring gobbler though. I think it is my favorite season. Then it will be fishing season (trout) through the spring!
 
Got two turkeys and two deer this last hunting season. Used the 301 to dress 'em.


Going this weekend to get some rabbits for stew, haven't decided what to use to dress them.... Any suggestions?
 
Try a blur! I have an antelope hunter I use mostly, and a camo echo that I just gave to my old man. I have been wanting to try the diskin hunter but have yet to get one.

Aye. How can that dude legitimitly think that he is the cause of manufacturers changing things? Like dudes?
