Oh I think they are impractical lol. But you almost buy them for the extremeness lol.

Ha! I guess they have that going for them.

I am on my phone or I would go on paint and do a few pictures. Basically though, thickness behind the edge is measured where your secondary bevel (edge) meets the primary bebel (grind, I.E. flat grind, hollow ect). You are measuring the thickness at that point. The thinner it is behind the edge the better it will part materials. It is also "weaker" though as there is less metal behind the edge. However I have not destroyed my thinly ground blades...yet lol.

Fantastic short explanation:thumbup: I've never broken or heavily chipped any of my blades either and I like to "Experiment" with thin edges and grinds. Thin is where it's at.

I understood this concept, the example from steel just threw me for a loop.

Gracias for the pics though, that Horton is pretty ;)

So Friday I placed an order for a zt200kw from dave, tracking says it will be here tomorrow! I should be showing you guys some new knife photos tomorrow.

I saw the new walking dead kinda slow but next weeks preview looks pretty good.

Is the ZT0200KW bead-blasted? I know they had BB and SW but can't remember what they switched from. I think it was from SW to BB.

Listen to this guys. Has a nice wilderness, log cabin tone to it.
