That doesn't look bad for your first trip out! Before you jump from G-10 to grinding blades, you should look into making your own Mircata. Its fun, and you can combine some really great materials that give some cool looks. I personally like using denim and khaki. Plenty of Youtubes on how to do it, and it is really inexpensive to make.

I bet making Micarta would be fun. How are things SPX? Are you trying to get any of Dave's Damascus?
 
Looks good steb! I know my first g10 didn't turn out that great. You will be much happier second time out.

I personally like micarta better, has a better feel when working and in hand.

Dude me too. I just got a Hogue Ex-01 and a Spyderco Chokwe today, and an Emerson CQC-7V is on the way. Wait there wasn't any Kershaw or ZT in there:o

Funny thing happened a few hours ago. You're gonna love this.

My brother and I were about to go get some stuff from the gas station so I grabbed my jacket. I felt something heavy in the pocket and just thought it was my lighter. well I go to grab it and guess what? I didn't put the damn Mini Grip in the box!:mad: I feel like an idiot. I just sat there looking at it in disbelief. I was happy because I thought I finally got the knife out to you and everything went swimmingly at the post office. But no. And on top of that, I didn't put any money in there for return shipping. I also had a two page note I typed out before I left with a bunch of info on the knives that I also forgot to put in there. I'm failing hardcore today.

I'm sorry bro. I'm gonna get that grip boxed up and sent to you with some money for return shipping plus another knife I was going to throw in with this box bu it didn't fit. Good news is the ZT and friction folder are on their way. Woot!
 
I just have a ripple and wrinkle from crkt, and a 0561 coming.

Sure would like to sell my titanium tyrade right about now tho.

Haha bro, it's all cool. I am not to worried on return shipping money I can cover that ;). I am easy going as I know how it can be shipping stuff out at times.

I was going to get a Wrinkle. But I quit the job with the Snap On Dealer. Looks like I need to find some other way.

Making Micarta is fun, cheap and easy. Things are well on this end...hope the same for you. Damascus? Me? Hell yes! Waiting on a Dam Shallot!
