That's true... I don't do much food cutting with the knife. I think the only food I cut with my pocket knife is sopressata, hard salamis, and things of that nature. That's pretty much half fat, so oiling the blade kind of happens on its own.

So how do you guys oil your Damascus, or rather how would you? Tuff cloth wipe every now and then? How does one apply bees wax?
 
I use White Mineral Oil. I then melt some Bees Wax into and it wipe it on the blade and wipe the excess off. You can also you simple carnauba wax. Just don't buff the knife or it will make the pattern very light.

Also, I don't remember where it was posted, but I was led to see a video of a Muslim gentleman hitting himself in the back with a sword. That...did not exactly brighten my day up.

I saw that video too. I have visited a website or two devoted to posting videos of that short of thing. Some far, far worse. Edwood7 posted a video awhile ago of a guy killing a few cops and wounding several others with just a knife down in Mexico.

I hate gore with a passion. Video games are fine because it's not very realistic but real life stuff and some movies freak me the hell out.

That sword video wasn't that bad. Yeah it's disgusting and really gory but that video was a religious thing. If it was a guy stabbing and killing a bunch of cops down in Mexico, than that's a little different for me. I need to find that video, sounds pretty interesting. Hey greeenie, want to be my gory movie buddy?
