Is it pretty typical for you all to pick up a bunch of extra hardware for your knives?

Oh absolutely. Having extra screws and parts for the Skyline kept me from having to send in my older Damascus Skyline for the blade hitting the backspacer. Some finagling and part swaps, and voila. Also, the clip that comes on the Knockout/Echelon now goes on every knife I carry, for lefty carry. I put it on Skylines that I carry, and it's not practical to just switch in one clip, as it will wear out the threads in the G10.

Moreover, whenever I ask Kershaw for some parts, they send a big pile of them. Seems like they're happy to send out any parts, needed or not. I asked once for a clip for my 0560. I got three clips and eight screws.

Not really. But if you lose or break something they will send you something out. Kershaw is kool like that.

No. I haven't at least. If I do have extras, it's because Kershaw sent them. I asked just for pocketclip screws for my Blur and Kershaw sent an extra clip with it.
