This Blur is going to make me blow my F-ing brains out. I WILL NOT center no matter what I do. The only thing I can think of that would be causing the problem is the pivot. I put the pivot from my other blur in and it got better but it was still way off center. Do you guys think Kershaw will send me a new pivot/hardware?
I don't see why not. But only if you give them a little something something if you know what I mean ;)

They sent me a full set of handle screws for a Zing when I asked, including pivot tube and screw. How far off center is it? How far over does the lockbar end up when locked open?

This is concerning to me. I know Kershaw has some spectacular customer service, but to ask for a replacement for a part that is functional seems like abuse to me.

That's the thing. I don't really have any money. Like, at all.

It's way over to the non locking side. It's like 0.5mm away from rubbing and it's kind of stiff to open. The liner engages about 35 percent onto the tang. maybe less.

Wow, that's not good. Pics of Satan's Blur with uncentered blade?

Edit: I see crazy Carrey has made a return in the avatar. Deep breaths man, deep breaths.

Aww sharpened my 0560 one time in the wicked edge without a piece of cloth where it clamps and it scratched the blade pretty good on one side. O well it's a user anyway, lol it seems like the more expensive the knife the more pocket time I give it.

You want it Will?

I'll get some pics up tomorrow. I Photobucket won't let me upload from my laptop so I'll have to do it on the PC in the morning. The thing that is even more frustrating is my old, used Blur that locks up around 60 percent and has been used quite a bit is perfectly no matter what. Figures:grumpy:

Crazy Carrey is back and crazier than ever! And slowly going insane.

Weird. The ones I've seen with the blade that far towards the non-locking side usually end up with the lockbar traveling well on its way to the opposite liner (not the Blur specifically, but several others). Are the handle scales aligned with each other? What about the alignment of the liner lock insert on that side of the scale? That could also be mounted a little too high (towards the pivot end).

You have a spare? If you wouldn't mind I'd be all over that. I'd even send something your way to compensate.

Yep, I have a spare. About the compensation...........ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME!!! The very least I can do for you is send you 2 washers, and a pivot. Don't worry about any sort of compensation Will.

Mine is so close to the non locking side that if I open it with my left hand it rubs the scale. Here's it's lockup. Will I think I may know what's wrong with your photobucket.

The handles look perfect to the naked eye. I can't see any alignment issues at all. I don't remember seeing any issues with the liner insert but it's back together now and I'm not about to take it apart again. It's maddening. I've been able to fix any problems I've had with folders until now. Not cool.

That's kind of you Mark. I really appreciate it:thumbup:

I think we all know what kind of compensation Will was thinking about ;).

You're weird:D
