For the record, the flat rate boxes only cost about 20 cents more to ship than the ones dave uses, especially now that delivery confirmation/tracking is included. Once you pay for the smaller box, you are basically at the same price anyway.

I absolutely HATE getting knives in padded envelopes. They are far too easy to rip open and claim it was an accident. Also, I've never gotten a box inside an envelope that wasn't completely crushed during shipping. Use a flat rate box and tape every edge. It's only $5.90.

I couldn't second this advice more.

I always use bubble wrap, then flat rate box, then lots of tape. No way am I going to be involved in losing a $400 knife.

I always use flat rate boxes from usps

I always try to ship First Class to ship, Since most knives can ship for 13oz and under. And using 1st Class I can ship a package that weighs 6oz for $2.20 and DC is included..and 13oz Cost $3.38....To Ship a Flat Rate Small Cost $5.15.. Thats more then a 20 cent difference. I use Paypal Shipping..

Ok, you guys are worrying me with the padded envelopes. I'll use the boxes as originally planned. I don't want anything like someone stealing the knives, and I know I wouldn't want it to happen if I was receiving one.

This is the winner. I'm going this route from now on.

Thanks for the link Chet.

Does anyone else think the Skylines blade shape kind of looks like a Great White Shark? That's what I always thought it looked like.

Never thought it about the skyline, but I definitely have about the 0350. Some of my friends have even commented on the similarity!

I think the IRS is on to me and knows I'm waiting for my return to spend on another knife. Damn you IRS for making me wait!!!:grumpy:

Stop teasing us Chester! Grrrr....is it something Kershaw/ZT related?

I can definitely see how the 0350TS can be perceived as a Tiger Shark looking knife. They're both tank like and can devoir just about anything in their way.
