I too loves me some kershaw d2. It does take a while to sharpen but dam does it hold a working edge good. As you can tell by my signature.

Used to play and follow baseball, but not for a while now. Stopped following the sport not long after I stopped playing.

Love me some D2 as well. I've never been able to get a good polish on it, and it always seems to end up a bit toothy for me (even going up to 4000 grit and stropping). But, it's still shaving sharp at that point and will hold an edge very well.

I gave up trying to sharpen D2 on natural stones. I just use my DMT's now. With the Arkansas stones, I think the D2 was scraping off more of the stone than vice versa.

Congrats to greenie on the purchase. Fantastic deal on that one. And cheers to whateatsrabbits for looking after fellow Order members. :)
 
Seriously solid deal there, and d2 sucks, diamond stones r a must, likewise with elmax. Regular stones arejust too consumable

Here's a friendly reminder to you guys. Don't leave fixed blades lying on your bedroom floor right at the area where you get out of bed. I pretty much kicked the tip of my Mora with the side of my big toe and man it hurts.

Yeah I'm way too lazy to do that every time I leave. I've got a lot of knives laying around. I need to get one of those small fireproof safes one of these days.
