My recommendation for replacing/finding rarer knives is check the exchange, the auction site, and a national craigslist search site every day. Sooner or later one will pop up.

Oops I was thinking leek for some odd reason, my bad!

You know, I've had this banter about assisted openers with a co-worker. Laws are gray for a reason, so lawyers can make a living interpeting them. In Illinois our statue says that knives that are illegal are spring activated and opened by a button. Assisteds aren't either, at least the way I interpret it.

Here in ky it simply says a reasonable pocket knife "reasonable" is entirely up to whichever officer you may have to deal with. Of course I got my carry concealed permit and now I can carry anything that I can legally own, that doesn't leave much out in this state

Again, interpretation. Now you run accross a jerk officer and what is reasonable to you may not be to him or her.

Gotta love South Carolina knife laws! Any knife of any size is legal to carry as long as you're not using it to commit a crime. That means you're welcome to carry a 5 inch OTF auto if you use it responsibly, but even an SAK will get you in trouble if you're using it illegally. Makes sense to me!

Now that's sensible. Carry a frickin' machete for all I care, just don't try using it on someone.

Dammit, let my little brother borrow my snap on red skyline, and he got it taken away by the police. A lot of sentimental value to that knife, she had seen alot of use. Any body got any leads as to where to find a red skyline?

Ouch. That really sucks. I've heard the NY has some really strict knife laws, but I've never looked them up. Several online retailers (and even some sellers on the 'bay) even go so far as to say they will not ship knives there.

Michigan's knife laws say that you can carry any knife concealed except dirks, stilettos, and daggers. We also can't use switchblades, automatics, or gravity knives, and we can't use any knife with unlawful intent......duhhhh . I make sure to know these rules just in case a cop tries to do something.

Depends on the person, politeness and respect make a world of difference. If he was just hanging/walking around and was decent...if he was into something he shouldn't have been, different story.

I love that on the 0777 on Evilbay he put..
"Ever see a composite blade with Damascus??? even on a custom this is unheard of....
Only the very elite custom makers produce knives this sophisticated and complex and those run in the thousands..."

Mean While you're selling it for $1200..isn't that in the thousands? lol
