Guys I need your help. I can't get this burr off my OD-2. I've used feather strokes on the 1,000 grit stone and it's still there. I tried to draw it through a piece of wood and it still point come off. I can see it when I TiLT the blade in the light. Also, I know it's there because I was cutting paper and the first one or two cuts were fine but then it started cutting like it was dull.

Iceman and Roy: Do I have to send you a PayPal address?

Raise your angle slightly and use the 1k stone to apply a small microbevel. That should remove the burr. Or just use the sharpmaker.
 
Sent a bit to help Chet. Used to do it when I was in highschool. We were the highest contributors 3 out of 4 years. I know that's not what its about but I can't help it, I'm competitive!

Dammit, let my little brother borrow my snap on red skyline, and he got it taken away by the police. A lot of sentimental value to that knife, she had seen alot of use. Any body got any leads as to where to find a red skyline?
