had a blem making a Micarta OD scale for a BF member....put a reptilian pattern on it and it ended up looking pretty cool. kinda like gator skin...whaddya think?!?
Looks fantastic! I love micarta scales.
Have you tried looking at GPknives? I think they have pre-orders.
Yah, all theirs say " Coming Soon " It is mainly the 0600 hundred I don't want to miss. I really don't want to pay secondary market for that one.

Oh, well if I see anything then I'll let you know.

I like your sig line.

the camera definately washed it out...its a medium OD IRL...

juju...have you been putting any finish on your micarta, or just leaving it sanded?

I figured it was the camera. I did one in OD g10 and then one in micarta. The g10 I sanded down to a smooth user swirled finish with 400 grit because I was tired of the real on the original scale. The micarta I did in 2 tone. I left the face polished and the corners finished on 400 so they were still grippy. It is not rough on the hands but grips well, and has the effect of polished carbon fiber at the same time. I really like it. I think the divot look and your reptile look are my other 2 favorite styles for scales.

I am wanting to get some 1/8th carbon fiber to put on a red handled, black bladed frankenram soon.

That sounds sweet. Love my ram...though with 1/8 what are you going to do with the pocket clip?? mount it on top? I've been thinking about doing more with my RAM too...currently I use .060 liner g10 to make nice slim scales that are similar to factory but more colorful.

Just double checking is that scale the canvas micarta that changes color with the oils in your hands?

left untreated or waxed Micarta has a tendency to absorb oils, makes for a cool look over time:-)

What would you guys consider to be a decent amount to spend on food for a road trip? Not just any road-trip, but a road-trip to Tualatin, Oregon, where you can buy some of the world's finest knives at a fraction of the cost. All of the food will probably be junk food crap, and maybe a decent breakfast here and there.

That looks super nice, maybe I should have got the reptilian pattern.... Hand oils will make it darken with use. Hook me up I will buy both.

$150 bucks? Depends on the amount of time traveling over all.
