Easy. I say to myself, "I'm going to use it"
just kidding. I realized that knives aren't made to be pretty (mostly) They're meant to cut, and if I'm not going to use it, why spend big money on high end material that make it cut better? Why not just get a replica?

How do you guys justify using a limited edition knife? The only way I can is if I have at least 2. One to use and one to keep mint. I can't bring myself to use a LE knife.

It depends. LE or not, I know if I'm going to use a knife right when I buy it. The Tilt I knew I wasn't going to use, even though it's precious to me. The Blur was going to get beaten on right away. The night I got it I tapped it for the lefty clip. Now, I pretty much assume everything I pick up is not being used though.

How do you justify it? Well, remind yourself that it's yours. I see them as toys, and you can play with them however you like.

Yeah. I cooked up some Mako Shark steak for lunch a bit earlier. I get a kick out of eating a species that has bitten quite a number of people.

I did a couple of kitchen knives today with the Wicked Edge. It's remarkably easy to use, and damn those 100/200 grit stones are aggressive. I think I almost got the technique down, but I feel I need to work on finishing the edge with the 1000 grit. Mine was a bit rougher than I'd have liked, and the strops aren't very aggressive.

I'm going to do another few tonight, and then work on a couple of Leatherman blades. Fortunately I can totally jack up a Leatherman blade and just send it in for a new one.

I like adding LEs to the collection, but if there is a production variant with lower end steel or different color handle then I just EDC the production and keep the LE purty

This is what I did with my Skylines, except there's no steel change.

You're making me excited about the edges that I could potentially get with the Wicked Edge. I'm going to work extra hard for a Wicked Edge.

You use a Lansky, right? I'm pretty sure You can sharpen recurves with those.
