Forgot to tell you guys, while scanning IDs at work saturday, got 2 girls with a cool last name....... Kershaw :cool:

I was all :D :thumbup: on the inside, but didn't wanna look like a wierdo, so was all :foot:

Cool. I still need to get my first Spyderco. I liked that Delica I handled. I'm just hesitant about lockbacks because I like the idea of one-handed closing.

My Griptilian is going to take awhile to break in. I also have a few gripes about the pocketclip.

Stick is going to sharpen some knives for me.
 
You know what I hate? When people say I'll trade this knife plus $45-55. Because I feel like a d**k when I ask for the higher number.

hey, they offered the higher amount... thats why i always give one amount and we can work from there... obviously if you offer two amounts, people are going to go for the higher amount. its just how people are.
If they said “I’ll trade this knife and 45 dollars” and you tell them no, i need 55... then i would start to feel bad...

I like to start small with a company that I'm unfamiliar with.

Just created my Griptilian thread in the Benchmade sub-forum.

Anyone else watching some type of news channel that involves the Boston Marathon explosions?

Funny, you've got Will to make your knives sharp/sharper, and I've got Stick to make my knives sharp/sharper.

We shall see what he does to my Blur or Skyline. Although, I'm finding Kershaw's coatings to be more wear resistant.

Is it true that you'll void your warranty with Benchmade if you take the knife apart? That's BS if It's true.

umm, I don't think so. I took mine apart, and they still fixed it.
Isn't spyderco like that?

Will a PM2 fit in a 1x3 square in my case?



Will I think you're cursed with your trades. My guy has stayed in perfect contact throughout our trade.

Hey now, I pride myself in the art of coating removal. Any average Joe schmoe can remove coating. It takes a real experienced person to do it with tape. You should be proud to have me as a friend:D

Kershaw uses DLC for most of their knives which probably the most durable coating ever. I think BM uses a Duracoat-style coating which isn't anywhere near as wear resistant as DLC.

No...a bunch of people assume that taking the knife apart voids the warranty. You can take the knife apart and the warranty isn't void, the warranty becomes void if you disassembled the knfe and it breaks due to you dissembling the knife....this is true for benchmade and spyderco.
 
Of course I'm cursed with trades. I'm Irish so bad luck just comes naturally. Luckily I have Iceman to go to if I ever get the trading bug:thumbup:
