I shall do my best good sir.

Hey now, I pride myself in the art of coating removal. Any average Joe schmoe can remove coating. It takes a real experienced person to do it with tape. You should be proud to have me as a friend:D
I have faith in you.
I am very proud to have you as a friend.
Kershaw uses DLC for most of their knives which probably the most durable coating ever. I think BM uses a Duracoat-style coating which isn't anywhere near as wear resistant as DLC.
It's cerakote. I have no clue how they (dura & cera) compare.
But TBH I prefer cerakote over DLC, due to the rust resistance.
Of course I'm cursed with trades. I'm Irish so bad luck just comes naturally. Luckily I have Iceman to go to if I ever get the trading bug:thumbup:

I'm part irish too, but I've had a good run. Traded a ST300 for an endura, and that endura for a RAM, and Leek blem.

I had a para 2 and liked it. For some reason it kind of reminds me of a cross between a ram and a skyline or even a blur. I had it on me for my company christmas party and a guy had to have it so I sold it to him. He uses it for a backup hunting knife! I would like to get another sometime but not until the prices come back down. Had a military but it was way to big and long, just felt awkward in hand.

umm, I don't think so. I took mine apart, and they still fixed it.
Isn't spyderco like that?

Will a PM2 fit in a 1x3 square in my case?

Will I think you're cursed with your trades. My guy has stayed in perfect contact throughout our trade.

I'm hoping it's not true, but that's what it says on the pamphlet that comes with the knife. That's why I'm skeptical.

The guy that I traded with also stayed in perfect contact. We probably sent at least 20-40 e-mails together. He even sent me a s***load of extra torsion bars and body screws and pocketclips.

I love Kershaw's DLC coating. I cut a bunch of cardboard with my Skyline and there's barely any scuffs on the blade. I've had this Grip for about a day and the coatings already coming off. I'm not really worried about it though because I love knives that have seen some use. I've always wondered why the knives with a lot of wear have seemed to be Benchmades.

Well if I ever decide to sell it, you'll all be the second to know.

Knotty he offered to make me a couple of lanyards, because he was practicing knots (I declined, because I like making them)
And the coating shouldn't come off that easy. I cut up A LOT of cardboard with the old M4 blade, and that showed no marks whatsoever.

The dlc is amazingly tuff. Although I prefer stonewashed blade.
I like Stonewashed blades too but my Fixed Skyline has what looks to be "tree" left over on the blade from my tree chopping. I can't get it off either. Stick will be able to see it. I don't mind it though.

Any of you guys have any experience with Olight flashlights? Im ordering a bunch of stuff from BHQ and the Olight S10 is on my list. Its such a cool little light! It even has a magnet on the tailcap so you can stick it to stuff and have a temp light anywhere (metal, obviously)

Im a sucker for little EDC gadgets, so if you have any recommendations as to what i should buy, let me know. As long as BHQ has it in stock its fair game.

Did you try cleaning that sap off with some alcohol?
I've tried rubbing alcohol and it didn't do anything. My fingernail doesn't really work as well.
Other than the tape fiasco, I find it pretty durable. And like I said I'd rather have rust resistance.
If cerakote is what's on the pocketclip of my Griptilian, my experience isn't good with it. I don't really have to worry about rust. I've never had any rust issues with my knives, and I've even left them in ice for about an hour.

I was going to say the CRKT Para-Saw Survival Bracelet, but that's out of stock.

Saving money is sooo much fun:thumbdn:
I've never actually had problems with saving money. I'm pretty good with it.

If weather permits, which it should, I'll be able to have my first games tomorrow. We're having a double-header with another team in our conference. My swing has felt more "explosive" this year. I'm feeling good.

Well I make a guarenteed $30 a week, so 0561 here I come.

I think the clip is oxidized.

I have a couple of Olights, I like them good quality.

I have no idea. GPKnives says "stainless steel". Which is just about as good as the sales clerk at the store telling me the Grips blade steel was probably stainless. Which, technically it is, but he mean't cheap stainless.

Sorry knotty. I thought you were talking about the arrow clip. The clip on yours is painted. The arrow clip is oxidized.

I'm not bad at saving....just don't like it lol.
