Everyone run! Every production knife ever has BURNT EDGES!! ARGGHHH!!!! ERMAHGERD!
A few YouTube knife people have put forth the notion that any problems with the edge of a knife, primarily Elmax from production companies, is due to burnt edges as a result of factory sharpening.
Here's a good starting place: http://www.youtube.com/results?sear....3j2.5.0...0.0...1ac.1.11.youtube.4TltSxu72Ps

Lol ya I have been following that thread in another forum too Mario, sometimes it's just best for me just to say nothing as I can't always find the off switch once I start. On an up note I just finished my cbcf on the wicked edge, 30 degrees inclusive. Lol that s110v is a little tougher to reprofiled Han Elmax. And of course the knife slipped in the clamp 3 times in the reprofiling process which set me back to work getting initial burrs lol. But now it splits hairs and reflects magazine text. Bushido also got the all good report from his vet today.
