Well just had my first run in with KAI customer service, free replacement parts with 4 paragraphs recomendig greases for knifes (marky mark ) and another paragraph recomending torx wrenches, and only a sentance about the keychain thing sold by KAI, thats what i call top notch service, im happy.

I'm getting really excited for corn detasseling. I won't be starting this week, but I could start as early as this weekend. Gotta get that Wicked Edge money!!

Not really. The ones that you already did are still sharper than hell because I don't get to use them as much as I'd like. That's mainly because I don't have a job that'll require anything like that. My 0551 and DLC JYD could be sharpened and be sharper than they are now, but I'm happy with the edge that came on them. Plus, I want to see how they'll hold up during corn detasseling with their original edge and see how they'll sharpen back up. So, after corn detasseling, I might hit you up. .

Now that I thought about my 0551 again, I can't decide if I want to send it to you after I get a wood scale for it, or before I get a wood scale done for it. I think I'll do it after. I'll give you the pleasure of seeing it and while It's gone, I'll think about it instead of the Wicked Edge that'll be shipping to my door.

I have tiny hands. I usually can get a four finger grip on everything. Only thing I can't get a four finger grip is a Case peanut.

I just realized a bonus to this 0551. We're required to wear gloves during corn detasseling, and because my hands are small, the 0551 will be beefy enough to fit nicely in my hand. That's assuming that I'll be able to carry and use it.
