Wow - It appears to me that dealing with customers is not a strong point. It's truly dissapointing to see the "other" side of some people both business and consumer. I must say that I'm happy I didn't order one of the Rat pack knives.

I guess from the outside it could look like that.

But, looking at it from a slightly different angle, these knives are being made at little to no profit to the company as a favor to the forum (ie, me).

My wife is donating her time to organize and ship the blades and in return, people who can't follow simple instructions are sending her nasty e-mails.

I would say that to anyone who has been given a free knife or had their blade replaced by the company via warranty with no questions asked would disagree with your assesment of dealing with customers being a weak point.

:rolleyes:I, for one, am very happy that your wife was willing to help us out.

Nasty e-mails? Completely un-called for.

Yup I agree. Now the ppl who can read and follow SIMPLE instruction have to pay for it. Never getting another GOOD deal on another forum knife. Guess I'll save this one .....well now I'll just buy another RC3 to tear up:eek::D

:thumbup::thumbup:

I totally agree. Mrs. Shotty is first class!

thanks!

I will be placing my order this weekend as I just got paid. I will say once again and in advance to me getting the RP knife, thank you once again to everyone at RAT and Mrs. Shotgunner11 for your time and effort.

Again, let me say thanks to the 98 percent of those who made this project worthwhile and didn't create more hassles than necessary. For those who feel we are not customer friendly, well, that's a fair statement when it comes to customers who simply don't follow the rules. We've lost a few customers because of this ordeal, but so be it. I knew going in that this would happen, and that some would take their toys and go home because of us being so straight-forward. If they got their feelings hurt because of this then they really wouldn't like to train under us. For those who didn't get their feelings hurt even though you screwed up and we called you on it, I say good job. You fit in well here and will never have a problem admitting you're lost in the woods and die of pride or stupidity because you can't admit that you screwed up. And just for the record, I've been lost and been wrong many times.

I would seriously doubt that you lost any customers worth crying over.
Good job everyone.
And I have a thought (yeah I know call the media! :p ), I think a special edition of something... a one of one kind of blade should be made for Katie, she has definately earned it. Maybe just a regular blade with "Thanks from the Rat Pack" lasered in. Crap if I had the money I would pay for it myself.

Probably saved yourselves from a frivolous lawsuit from someone that would cut themselves, then look for someone to blame...

Forrest Gump could have ordered a Rat Pack knife with no issue....

I would not worry over any lost customers with this......The kind of person that could not figure this out and still blame others is the type of dumb ass that would cut themselves with the thing and try to sue because the knife was sharp.......I hope ya'll at RAT realize the appreciation that the 90%er's have for ya'll doing this and KNOW that we will always be loyal customers.......Drew

was thinking the same thing, just missed your post :D

Its really, really, really, REALLY stupid that you would lose customers over something like this.

I cant think of another company that's put in the time and effort everyone here has to bring us this knife. Its shameful that its come to this. I thought everything seemed pretty easy.

The USPS FINALLY pulled through! I now have all 200 boxes I need! 2 1/2 more weeks and a different type of chaos begins.

Hey did my knife ship yet? :D

Just a reminder for everyone, it's USPS, there isn't going to be 45 point to point tracking updates. Don't panic. You'll see a sent scan, and probably the next thing that happens is it gets delivered a few days later. Please don't freak and send emails to mrs asking why it's not moving. It's a 2-3 days service. It's the government. Don't panic for at least a week after it ships out. Also, wait. Just wait think how long it takes to wrap one present. Now do it 200 times and pack it not to break. It isn't an overnight job. (just trying to head off the future)

Katie, Thank you for taking on the task and sorry you have had to read emails from those who chose to send nasty ones. That's uncalled for!
RC, Thanks for making these for us and for the outstanding price on them!

To those who can't follow rules, are easily offended and think that RC has poor customer service......... If i'm not mistaken, the RatPack knife was born among us here and not a RC idea. They just agreed to do this for us. Katie, out of the kindness of her heart, agreed to do the shipping for the knives. Not a small task!
If you sent her a nasty email, shame on you. Man up to your error or bad attitude.

eh, i wear big girl panties. and i have a wonderful memory ;)

LOL, big girl panties! You're too funny. Seriously though, I'm also sorry you got those nasty emails. Like I always say though, class is something you just can't buy. We just have to all put on our "big girl panties" and shrug it off.

BTW Katie, any word on when the Int'l orders are supposed to ship, or should I ask Jeff?

Thanks doll!
