Ordered a RC 6

we call those trot lines in Ks.

I run trotlines too but here trotlines are more horizontal white the jugs are vertical. They both use "jugs" though. Legally, we can only have 5 hooks on a jug and 25 on a trotline. We are allowed a total of 100 hooks in the water at a time.

makes sense - it sounded like you were stringing jugs together, which sounded like a trotline to me.
as long as it gets catfish on the table, it's all good - right?

Tonight I hope to get about 40 hooks in the water. Then my bro-n-law and I can drag them out in the morning. It has been raining here like crazy so that should be interesting. Not to mention I doubt I am going to be able to sneek out of the office early as I had hope so there is still some rigging to be done.

Tomorrow, I will try and get some more jugs and then we will add several trotlines to the mix. I'm not an expert jug runner but what I do know is that its a simple numbers game. More hooks in the water means better odds of having something to eat.

I'm looking for a "big brother" for my BK11 and can't decide between the RC4 & RC6. The 5 is just too thick and heavy for my needs. Does your 6 seem like a good all around utility, or more suited to "chopping"?

The ESEE-6 is the best all around blade, not the greatest chopper but will chop if you need it to. The junglas or gransfors small forest axe are good to bring for choppers.
