At the end of the day, nothing makes my really expensive knives any "better" when it comes to actually using them anyway. I've carried and used Shiros and Sebenzas and GECs and Case Knives and even Opinels and SAKs all the same.

I think I've got my bases covered so far, let's see... they get a lot of onions and bananas (sometimes throw them some table scraps too), they've got a little wood and glass house (they're respectable - so no stone throwing to worry about) to sleep in with plush velvet flooring, and regularly engage in outdoor activities...

... except the ones that came with wobbly blades, wonky grinds, bad heat treats, & other defects - I keep those locked away down in the basement where nobody can see them. The neighbors probably don't even know they exist.
