ORDERS ARE CLOSED! 2023 BladeForums.com Traditional Knife.

After years of lurking behind the scenes, became a member this past year. This is my first forum knife (hopefully first of many).

Any interest in starting a new thread where folks can post their serial numbers? Seems to be more interest in these than ever before!
While your intentions may be good, I think serial number posting is just going to turn into a crap show of forum vigilantism. If one shows up for sale anywhere else for a penny more than what was paid (or even just for selling it outside the forum), people will be coming back here to call people out and rile up the masses to attack.

Spark Spark , I need to cancel as it looks like address is wrong, I can’t seem to find invoice in PayPal to reply to that, since it went through as Apple Pay, doing this through a phone has over complicated this for me.

I see the transaction in apple pay but no way to message you through there.

Got you taken care of

UPDATE 9/25 - we're down to 57 knives left. Deadline for current preorder price is 11:59 tonight

Thanks spark, I would still like to order one, maybe I can get it right this time, have to wait for funds to return first, hope I don’t miss out.🤞

Order placed... I wasn't going to. I told myself I was done with GECs. I told myself (and you guys) I would let others more worthy/thirsty go for it. But there are 57 remaining and I have been ruminating on my 20 year old traditional forum posts and I couldn't resist. Darn you GEC and BF... :)

Well, I didn’t wanna chance it, just put another order through and this time I think it went ok, even after deleting old addresses in PayPal it still defaulted to a prior address, tech is such a headache for me.

So true, thanks for noting that Cheese. I was just thinking if someone wanted to track down a "special" serial number that would facilitate it. But I can see the drawbacks....

I had the same issue with Paypal. I think it is straight now; my issue concerned the address on the credit card held in their system. I had changed my address in Paypal, but not with the bank issuing the credit card. I had to go back and change the address with the bank. I left my order with Blade Forum as is, I'm still in the USPS forwarding period and if USPS misses that, I know and can visit the new owners of my old home and pick it up. OH

The knife is for forum members, not flippers. You want to flip it immediately, you deserve to be called out

Called out, and blocked from purchasing through the official channel in the future - my opinion.

Don't feel bad, I don't really consider it a tech issue - I have a degree in a tech discipline, a metric ton of certs, plenty of experience working in the field, and most importantly grew up using PayPal regularly - and PayPal is still a source of regular frustration and annoyance to the point that I only even attempt if it's something as epic as a BF 25th anniversary knife or similar.

They're just awful, and I suspect their global adoption has grown to the point where they are unable to provide the service, or run their business, effectively.

I was just wondering if anyone has heard from T. Erdelyi T. Erdelyi ? It looks like he hasn't been around in almost a year. I don't know if he got last year's knife, but it would be a shame if one of the few complete forum knife collections had gone moribund.

If T. Erdelyi is still in good health, I would be willing to buy him one to keep the set going.

Interesting observation. I sense a land mine, time bomb, claymore or one of those coyote ACME cannon ball bombs with a lit fuse. There could be exciting times ahead in the world of cutlery sales.
