I'll be there Sunday if the river doesn't rise. Eugene is just two hours south of me by freeway, I-5. I've been attending for the last five years & wouldn't miss this terrific show.

The OKCA newsletter says that there are 420 tables. For those with a grid of the tables here are some table locations: Buck M04, Leroy R. E09 & Buck Collectors Club U13.

For those without a grid: walk thru the front door and find tables laid end-to-end toward the back, "A" column to the left and "X" to the right, nearest tables are "1" and farthest to the back tables are "18." Typically the perimeter tables are for displays.

I have a shopping list. :D :D My approach is to arrive early, see every table quickly, repeat at a slower pace, make any purchases, talk with anyone who will listen, see all of the outstanding displays and drive home happy.

Oregon Knife Show: Those with tables: Buck Knives (Mr. Buck - Chuck, and Joe Houser); Leroy Remer with Wild Bill Cody roaming nearby; Club table and a display - BCCI Board Member Bruce Dollinger (San Francisco); Displays - Bill Finney (Medford) and Rusty Donoghue (Salt Lake City). The number of tables mentioned above is about correct. Today was for set up and then Oregon Club Members only. Cool way of doing business. Several displayers with older Buck fixed blade versions. Tomorrow and Sunday will be the big general public days. Mr. Buck attracts a crowd, bless his heart. Joe is close at hand.

That sounds like the perfect day to me!!!!! :D
You lucky buggers have fun!!!!!

Oregon, That sounds like a great plan . 420 tables ! Thats a big show ! Eugene only has about 140k people, how do they sustain a show of that caliber ? Albuquerque, NM has 500K people and they barely have a show that size . Thanks for the info..
Hey, Rusty ! Glad to see your going . It will be good therapy . DM

I'm hanging in there David. Thanks. Let's keep thinking Albuquerque in December. This Oregon Club appears to be very strong, active, and committed to its members. Heck, I live 830 miles away and am honored to be a member of such an active group.

Remember we all want some pics... I used to live in Eugene, OR... on the west side... But I wasn't in to knives at the time... Damn it .... :(:o:eek:

Rusty, I looked at it and your closer than 830mi. from the Albuquerque show . Have some fun . DM

I feel terrible I missed it. Friday night the Mrs and I went to the Ram for a burger & after eating my car wouldn't start; looks like the fuel pump went belly up - I didn't make it. I was looking forward to seeing Sheldon W and Golnick, too; also had two Buck custom shop stag 110's to peddle. Well, now it is a year's long wait till the next one. Hopefully I'll get to Blade West.

Regards, JW

I can only speak for myself on the success of OKCA's annual meet. I spend money every year that I've attended on rare finds made by terrific people who look you right in the eye. Yep. I get up from the keyboard and so do the vendors to press the flesh, take the ribbing, hear the complaints, bask in the praise and get within striking distance! Kinda scary away from the keyboard. Electric. Each and every year: Flabbergastment in a good way. Gotta get a pillow for my head as I just returned from the meet, AKA knife heaven. Pics cooking as I type...

Chuck & Joe, at their tables, thank you both kindly for an exciting and memorable day. You are all right. A collectible 560, all black, NIB for $60 is like finding gold.

Leroy R. slings some outstanding enhanced cutlery. The ivory and damascus felt like a million in my hand. Rich. Wow. I didn't want to put it down. The diamond-plate is aluminum and I swear they were both lite as feathers. He was so very generous in giving me enough 110 thumb studs to outfit an army. Thank you kindly Leroy.

Note the "before" 110 in the middle for comparison:
