Oregon knife meet up!! Saturday June 29th!!!

I second that Dan!!! The kd will definitely roll with. Trust me there's no way you can't stick the kd. The crash axe is a different story all together.

I'd be interested. I've missed way to many shows and events lately, and would love to meet other knuts in the area!

Alright guys I'm looking at locations as close to Portland as possible.

A chopping location shrinks our options a tad. It's probably going to be a Monday or Tuesday afternoon middle of next month. That works for everybody I have spoken to so far.

If all goes well hopefully this won't be the only little meeting that goes Down

Maprik is checking out a pretty nice park with a ton of tables and some bbqs

Ideas are welcome. Remember there is gonna be thousands of dollars worth of knives and I for one want a decent place for them

Any ideas you can email or pm me or just post in this thread

I'm near Portland...Might be interested as long as I don't have to ride the Crime train (MAX) to get there or don't have to put on the body armor and pack the .45 through NE PDX lol

George Rogers Park in Lake Oswego. It's right off of highway 43 which comes off the 205 so it's really easy to find. It's also dead easy to find coming down 43 from Portland. It's right on the Willamette River and a great spot. Plus the location of the covered picnic area is fairly isolated from the rest of the park so there won't be a lot of strangers wandering around.

Plenty of tables, 4 grills, tons of parking, Albertson's is just down the street....

Alright Maprik found the place an it sounds like a good one. The date and time will be

Saturday June 29th at 4pm. (Give or take on the time or course I am sure we will be there a while. Time flies when you are talking knives)

So everybody has plenty of time and we will make this work. The goal is for this not to be a one time thing.

Cost will be 10.00 when you show up. I know I know nothing is free but we want to reserve the spot. Better safe than sorry and all. Price will also include charcoal, Ice, paper plates, utensils, etc. price could go down depending on commitment here. If we can get 15 people or so it will be less than 10 each. I figure there has to be 15 guys who want to get together.

So you bring meat to BBQ and whatever you are drinking!

Hey ya'll! We've decided to move the Meet Up to the following weekend. Saturday, June 29th. Get it on your calendar. Lower Picnic Area, George Rogers Park, Lake Oswego, OR 97034. Easy to get to!!! Get together will start at 4pm and continue until we get kicked out. There's a great playground just a stone's throw away if you want to bring the whole family. The Willamette River is also just down the hill as well. RSVP to Luke!

The covered picnic area has been reserved! It's a non-refundable deposit so we are all in! And it's well covered so rain or shine let's fire up the grills!

Again, it's the Lower Picnic area at George Roger's Park in Lake Oswego. There's a road that just circles the park so you can't miss it. Tons of parking too...

From 205 north or south get off at the Lake Oswego/West Linn exit and take Highway 43 towards Lake Oswego. You'll go through West Linn and pass Marylhurst College. When you come down an S shaped hill into Lake Oswego 43 becomes State St. The first traffic light you come to is the intersection of State St. and McVey Ave. Take a RIGHT into George Roger's Park parking area. Just drive down a little ways and the covered picnic area pictured above will be on your left.

From 217 take the Kruz Way exit into Lake Oswego. Kruz way T's into Boones Ferry. Take a left on Boones Ferry and stay in the right lane. The lane will curve off of Boones Ferry and put you on Country Club Road. Continue on CC road and through a crazy 5 way intersection and you will get dumped onto A St. which goes through downtown Lake Oswego. A St. T's into State St. Take a RIGHT and drive down past the Albertson's and shopping area. Just past the Goodwill drop off center on your left you will see George Roger's park.

Or just google map George Roger's Park in Lake Oswego!

I'm in Portland quite often lately. If I can do it and you guys will have me, I'll stop by.
I love meeting knife knuts.

Hope you can make it! The more the better. There are going to be some epic knives but that chatting will be the fun part.

Maprik just gr a custom strider that I can't wait to see!

Do you check IDs or could someone's from WA show up?
I have never heard of Washington doing something like this!!

Still thinking of migrating down there...
