Oregon knife shops?

Fisherman's Marine doesn't have much right now, so don't bother. Ignore what I said earlier.

Knife books are at powell's technical books (down thr block, not in the main store) with the metalwork and machining books.

Your best bets for selection (mostly benchmades) is probably Andy and Bax army navy, Hawthorne cutlery for a mixed bag including some $500+ customs, or for an assortment of gerber/spyderco/benchmade/kershaw/sog the wholesale sports on 82nd.

For best price and decent selection but just Benchmades and Cold Steel Keith's Sporting Goods (name is a misnomer, mostly guns really) off Powell in Gresham is the best.

Well hawthorne was the first place I stopped after I landed. Bought a kershaw blem junkyard dog with composite blade. And benchmade was the last stop on the way to the airport. I only had enough to buy a sweatshirt and a car decal at benchmade. All in all a good trip :)

The 1725CB? What did you end up paying for it? It was priced at $85 when I was in there and they were going for $75 new online (plus whatever shipping) for a non-blemish. Looks like Amazon has some for $72 right now ($65+7 shipping or $80 free shipping). I'd pay $85 from a brick and mortar for something going for $70 online, but $85 for a blemish is ridiculous in my mind. A lot of the knives appeared to be consignment, so I tend to take any glowing reviews of the place with a grain of salt. But I've been known to be a cynical ass.

That is what I paid for it, and I know I could get it cheaper somewhere else but I was on vacation and I didn't have to wait for shipping. I did feel bad cuz my dad had already got me a regular junkyard dog2 and hadn't given it to me yet. Oh well, now I got 2 :)
