Oregon Knife Show 2017

I saved one of the coolest displays for last! This one is for chuko....so here ya go Charles!! ;):D:thumbup:
I had a long talk with David Schultz, a very gracious man! He even took time to come and open each display for a better picture!
It was quite obvious to me than a great deal of passion and money was required to put this amazing display together!!:cool::cool:
Here is the Man and his knives!

Well that's all folks!!! Hope to see you in Eugene next April........

Dave

Thanks for posting. Dave and I talk about his collection/display, cool to see it altogether. I sold a few of those in that display.

I picked up this nice little drop point from talented maker Jeff Murison. It is a beauty with dark mauve-kinda-black camel bone covers and NS pins, hammered & rat tailed copper bolster, and laminated blade of 1085 core steel with a flash of nickel silver separating the 'wagon wheel' iron outside layers. It is full tang construction with the tang tapering in thickness, and you can see the laminations in the tang edges as well. Very light in hand in spite of the heavy bone handle and quite dramatic looking with the blade lamination. Jeff always has some beautiful and unique work, so I always visit his table. I could not walk past this knife the third time.... :D

Barry found one of these Buck's on Friday the set-up day and was flickin it the rest of the weekend....until I couldn't stand it any longer and went to see if they were all gone! You know the rest of the story.... but they sure are :cool::cool:

About time to post some booty from the show. I got these 4 Schrades from a dealer named Bob, who had a wreck in his truck on the way to the show!! He and his wife were very bruised, but with time in the hospital, they toughed it out, bought a new truck, and made the show!! Amazing story!!

That Murison is a beauty up close!! Nice nab, Barry!

Charlie congratulations on those beautiful Schrades. Each of them are extremely nice examples!

Oh Charlie....I just cannot believe you can still find MINT examples- and out of everyone- your the man to do just that!

As for that Forest Champion, I can honestly say that - that Knife would have to be one of the most amazing Peachseeds I have seen in a long long time.
I need to visit again :D

Amazing, simply amazing Knives, I am so so glad that we here have someone like yourself to share these Treasures.

Great photos, Dave, thanks for posting all of those. I really like Dave Schultz's pearl knife display, you got great pice of it. Love the tray of IXL pearl knives, I don't believe he had that displayed last year?
