Yep, a chat with that man, would do us all a lot of good I think.

My Dad was a young lad during the great depression and still had his sling shot skills until he died. Though, not as good as the man we just watched. That was just plain ol' awesome.

That is awesome, not too many people like that around anymore unfortunately.

That was a great story :) Reminds me of my sling shots made out of fence wire.
After seeing this thread I keep looking in the trees looking for that perfect fork.

Someone posted that the film was from 1985 and that Rufus had passed. That video put a smile on my face, too cool.

That's great. Now I've got to get myself a slingshot.
Here is an interesting link on making a beanshooter and Rufus Hussey.
According to the site, Rufus passed away in 1994 after having made more than 15,000 beanshooters.

I was deadly accurate with my Saunders Falcon II.

I once hammered a Blue Jay at about 15 yards while riding no hands on a bike. I felt like an Indian on a Horse at full gallop. Had to ride back to my buddies house and drag him out there and show him.

I still have it, just need some bands for it.

Used to shoot .36 cal lead balls for a muzzle loader and ball bearings seconds from the local bearing factory.

I'm inspired. Time to tune it up.

Sharp Eye ... thankyou for that link ... saddened to hear Rufus finished this life, I got a piece of him though :) (is that water in my eye ... no way)
