I got to Fondle Shamrocks Warthog EDC and Hunter and if I have them correct I love the EDC a lot better :)

Can't wait to score one

Man I need one of these in full blue :)
Lol

I am very happy Chris. The color combo is one of my favorites and that's what caught my eye initially. The fit and finish is excellent. I like the first finger groove. Overall It is very comfortable for me. I have slightly larger hands but it's still comfortable for me in a variety of grips. (after a little in-hand adjustment) I bought this with multiple uses in mind. Primarily as an outdoor EDC but after holding this I can also see it working well for a field dressing blade for whitetails. The CPM 154 is a bonus for that task.

Dave,
Its great to hear this kind of feed back ot Just strengthens my confidence in the design. I am sure it will perform well for you in any of those conditions. Enjoy!

Great shot Comparisons, what specifically do you like about the EDC better. And how did you come to that conclusion?

I like the blade profile better. I like the overall length vs width aspect. The finger guard is not as pronounced. As far as the handle they both felt about the same but the edc seemed a little fuller in my opinion. As you can tell I have a big hand and my hand fell right into all the right spots and it filled my hand perfectly! I also like how the edc has a slightly more pronounced curvature to the knife which allows the tip of the blade to fall into what seems to be more of a natural position. :) hope I made sense :)

I personally do not like coating. not that I do not have coated knives - of cause I do, but if I have a choice between coated and uncoated I go with uncoated. there is 2 reasons or actually one reason with 2 sides: when you start to use knife especially big one - like buttoning you will get some sketches and erases areas after first use, which secondary - lead to more chance - do not use the knife because : "I am not sure may be I will sell or exchange it". when it 20-40 $ Condor I don't care, but when it 150-500$ knife ...
to me even heavy proned to rusty 1095 is easier to rub with oil or have a nice patina then scratched Cerokote, which you do not know how to recover

pictures coming

I read all of the post on the Cerokote and appreciate all the Feedback, I do intend on still hammer finishing my flats and improving upon it too, I read some really great points I didnt Think of.

Coming from a military background I have an appeal for stainless blade with the Cerokote finish as to provide anti glare and camouflage, concealment I also had the thought of just using it on the Flats as a decorative finish in different colors leaving the bevels a belt Finish.

I do intend on hand rubbing CPM 154 in the future, I am just building the skills and waiting untill I have the extra time.

Thanks again to everyone for allof the feedback and support!

I have put the Cerokote Idea on the back burner for now.

That was perfect, and exactly the intention of the design, you would like my Apache EDC to it has similar blade dynamics in a bigger beefier package

Funny, this is how I carry a knife and a flashlight as well. Reminds me that I need to ask WildmanH to make some more custom fitting leather, although the KSF Pocono is a great piece that sees alot of carry around here :tyrannosaurus:

I would be so lost to death with out this piece! I love how it's my universal sheath depending on my mood and what smaller knife I want to carry it fits! :)

I'd love a custom 1, one of these days lol
