That's great. The Discovery Channel just ran a program about super quakes, strongly suggesting 300 years ago the coastline of Oregon and Wa. was hit by a tidal wave caused by just such an event offshore. Naturally, a quake of magnitude 9 is expected eventually and a tidal wave will result again.
