OT: AM I the Only One?

I been carrying the silly little knife I made around for the last couple days , its on my lap when Im messing with the computer , it sleeps next to my bed , rides with me in the car , gets used to whittle stuff while I wait for the Mrs to finish up the secret womens business that goes on in the hairdresser or for the kids at school , or picking friends up at the train station ...

My wife is used to sharing me and the bedroom with my knives tho ... she has made room for them by moving her knives over some and reducing the cudgel collection she has had since way before I met her ...

it pays to have a partner as nutty as oneself at times :)

Brian, I'm sorry to say that you have yourself a serious case of infactuous serious-oh-sus. These kinds of activities can lead to all sorts of unfortunate incidents, like waking up with a hole in your thigh. In order to cure yourself, you need to find the owner of this fungus (pictured below). Use the Gossman Jr. to cut it up into small pieces and steep in boiling water for 1 hr. Wash the Gossman Jr in the magic mushroom water, rinse thoroughly and take the owner out to dinner!

Don't forget to tell the owner you will replace the fungus.

LOL. Ok, one more confession.

It gets worse. Last night, I slept with it.

I did. And we only just met.

I kept it in the sheath (gotta use protection). But as I fell asleep, I knew it just wanted to be held. So, I did.

I woke up this morning, and it still looked as good as it did last night. *sigh of relief*

I read this to my wife adn she had a BIG belly laugh. She pointed at me and said 'is this guy your long lost twin?'

So, in answer to your question, NO, you are not the only one.

:D

I also have to admit that I usually sleep with a Subclaw clipped to the waistband of my sweatpants.

The nights get so cold when it's not there...

I have often found myself fondling a knife while at the computer lately. Even while sitting on the couch, or before dozing off watching TV. Its good to know we are not alone...

Funny thread.

I recently got a folder kit off the bay and it took a while to get the pivot tension just where I wanted it. Obviously this required quite a bit of opening and closing. Mrs Lefty still bugs me sometimes when I'm on this site by standing behind me and saying "click....click.....click....click...."
That's payback I guess.

Now she just bugs me about sharpening it(and its siblings) while we're watching something in the evening. Well, that and the macrame ( I call it 'lanyards' and 'cobra stitch' though).

The knife rides well in the 'five pocket' of my jeans - I often find excuses to use it, like cutting open feed bags when I could just tear them open. I'll think about using it for whatever I'm working on at the time and suddenly it's in my hand...HELP !!!
Normally I don't mind being a lefty, but I have yet to see a pair of jeans with that pocket on the left side...I guess I'll just call it 'crossdraw':D
