How is the little one? I'll bet he has really grown! Are you still chasing bad guys?

Yvsa and Rusty,

I know it's been a long time! Time has flown by! I have two little ones now...Kenshiro is 5 now, and my youngest (Nobu) is 2 years old! :D

I have been overseas doing my new job (one of the worlds sand boxes)..... and I'm back in the USA for a while! :D

I'm getting tired of people shooting at me with AKs and RPGs!!

Hope you get one of these....great gun for the money!

I just shot a box of the Romanian surplus I picked up at a gun show this morning. The stuff is not NEAR as accurate or reliable as the FNM or FOM or whatever it is that www.makarov.com sells. Shells seemed to long and they were lodging diagonally in the gun and also I was having to push the slide shut on a lot of them too. I averaged about half of the 72 I shot on the paper at 25 yards maybe 60% versus 80% plus with the makarov.com ammo. Also ZERO misfeeds with their ammo versus this surplus stuff. I was gonna buy a tin of it but this sample changed my mind!

Hollowdweller, what are the marks on the base of the cartridge case - particularly the year. There was some hot sub-gun ammo sold as well as some that was not stored properly.

As far as having them lodge diagonally in the gun and some of them being too long, are you sure that you are shooting 7.62x25. I've heard that some dealers can't tell the difference and sell .30 Mauser as being 7.62x25 Russian ammo.

It was marked as Romanian and appeared the same as the stuff from AIM.

Stamped 22 at top and 85 at bottom. Doesn't seem a lot hotter than the other stuff. Just less accurate and doesn't feed as well.
